Blog Comments: A Good Way to Build Links – or Not

Blog comments are recommended on many SEO sites as a good way to get links to your site. So, is this True or False?

The answer is Both.

If you have a valuable comment to make on a relevant blog, then hey, more power to you! Comments like that may get you a link, and they can also bring traffic to your site.

However, it amazes me that the people who leave comments like the ones below think they will gain anything by these. After all, who doesn’t have the Akismet plugin on their blog, which catches spam comments like these in the filter all day long.
